About CAPSUCO
The Caribbean Animal Production Services Unit Company (CAPSUCO) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered and based in St Johns, Antigua.
Its initial goal was to provide additional services in support of the field activities of the Caribbean Amblyomma Programme for the eradication of the Tropical Bont Tick (TBT).
In 2005, CAPSUCO expanded its manadate to include procurement of veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal identification supplies for resale to livestock owners at competitive prices.
It also provides the acaricide, Bayticol, to other islands in the Caribbean.
In Antigua, its field activities include animal identification services, tranquilization of stray livestock, and maintaenance of the national livestock database on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture Livestock and Veterinary division.
